Vintage Record Player Case – Repurposed Bluetooth Speaker

This started out as the case from a vintage record player whose original electronics were no longer usable. The mechanics had reached the end of the line, but the beautifully made wooden case and large internal speaker were still in great shape and deserved another chance.

The case has been converted into a Bluetooth speaker, powered by a 12v system and making use of the original internal speaker, which gives it a warm, classic sound. A rear-mounted volume control and aux input have been added for simple, everyday use, while keeping the front clean and true to its original look.

It still carries all the character of its past—solid wood front with leatherette sides, vintage hinges and a proper carry handle—but now it’s ready for modern listening. A practical, understated way to bring new life to a piece of old audio history.
