The original casing showed significant wear and peeling; it has since been sanded and resprayed, giving it a clean, simple finish while retaining the proportions and character of the original design.

The original valve radio electronics are no longer active. The unit now functions as a Bluetooth speaker, allowing wireless playback from a phone, tablet, or computer. It runs on a 12V power supply and uses the original internal speaker, which delivers a surprisingly full, warm sound well suited to everyday listening.

The tuning dial, grille, and original control knobs remain in place for their visual presence, preserving the look of the period even though they no longer control radio functions.
